Nuno Felted and Eco-dyed textiles

My name is Judy Cooper and I love being part of the arts community, learning new things, experimenting with mediums and creating beautiful and useful items.   I have been a Santa Cruz County Open Studios artist since 2016, featuring fiber art. 

Working out of my home studio in Aptos, California, I have been creating wearable art scarves using natural fibers for the past four years.  Two areas I am currently exploring are “nuno felted” textured pieces and also eco printed scarves made with natural dyes.  These processes are described below.
